I have found that a lot of the time the only time that black women’s voices and labor are appreciated is when they are for someone else’s best interest and honestly it’s come to a point where I am disgusted with the world and and what it demands from us. Everyone demands that we give them our time, love, patience, loyalty, submission, our labor, our life lines. But when it’s time for them to do the same for us, they would rather let us drown. Black women really need to start putting a price on our labor and time and patience. These things need to be earned. Because I am sick of these parasites exploiting our better (actually our mammy-like) nature for their own gains only for them to leave us high and dry.
